I first read "Boy with Beer" by Paul Boakye in a Methuen Drama Anthology. It was my favorite of the five plays by British dramatists, so I'm delighted to find it in a Kindle edition. There's a new introduction by the author too and the drama between his central characters is as fresh as ever. I laughed-out-loud so many times that it was almost like being locked in a room with Donovan and Karl as a fly on the wall. At some points, I even blushed. The dialogue is snappy, sexy, and very real. Wonderful.
